I just started reading Babyville by Jane Green. I have to say that three chapters in I love it. I may have jumped the gun on this one, but after reading Bookends and being so let down I am excited for this one.
It starts off with Mark and Julia and Julia’s want for a baby. Of course Mark and Julia are not married, but that isn’t stopping her. At one point Mark wanted to get married, but nothing ever came of it. They are growing apart, and Julia thinks a baby will save the relationship.
Meanwhile, all of Julia’s friends are having babies and she is jealous. She starts doing crazy things like buying tests in bulk, making charts, and hanging around in parks and infront of stores to ask mother’s for advice on how to get pregnant.
You’ll be laughing in minutes. I’ll let you know how the rest unfolds in a few days.
