I’m a little bummed and totally excited for Saturday August 15, 2009. I am bummed because I work until 1 pm. I am excited because the Bluelight Specials are back at KMART for this one special day. Of course it would be only on the day that I work, but I’m glad I can still make it. Let me tell my younger readers a little about Bluelight Specials. I realize that some people may be too young to remember the “Bluelight Special on aisle 3″ being blasted over the loud speaker, but I do. I remember my mom taking me, my sister, and two cousins through the store and we’d just hope that the aisle number being said was a toy aisle. Some days it wouldn’t be, but some days the Kmart Bluelightwould really come through for me and I’d get something to play with. When I was a kid the Bluelight was an aisle number, now they go by items. This Saturday there will be 40 items! Yeah you read that right, 40!
As I’ve grown up so has Kmart. I have a job, go to college, have a husband, thinking about kids and chornicle my life on Twitter. Kmart has always been a job, helped people to go school, helped husbands and wives and has always thought about kids. Now you can even get to Kmart on Twitter.
You might wonder how Kmart helps kids go to school, well this Saturday 8/15 kids backpacks (Athletech, Route 66 and Licensed) reg. $19.99 – Bluelight $8!* 70 count Notebooks – Buy 2 Get 1 Free. Kmart is helping All Patio Furniture 70% off! (+ an extra 20% off during bluelight!) I have to admit that I am even more excited about this last one. Anybody looking to get jewelry needs to go to Kmart on Saturday!
* Diamond Jewelry extra 10% (Diamonds are already 70% off this week!)
I wish that Kmart would put some DVDs, XBOX 360 games, Wii Fit would be a great Bluelight. Maybe some Craftsman tools for Kristopher would be good. I’d go buy them now and hold them until his birthday in October. and see the awesome savings it takes you to.
